Introduction and Dissemination of Innovative Food Security Practices in Central Equatoria State in South Sudan

This program seeks to improve the overall food security of vulnerable populations in Yei and Lainya counties in Southern Sudan. UMCOR has identified three objectives for the program: to increase household income among vulnerable populations of Yei and Lainya counties; to expand knowledge and use of innovative techniques for increased household food production among vulnerable households in Yei, including the introduction of fish farming techniques and the growing of improved varieties of vegetables; and to increase the capacity of relevant government bodies and local NGOs to evaluate the impact of innovative food production practices.
